This is done by either forcing them into the wall or ramming them while using nitro. There is a wanted meter which determines the awareness level of the police if Nitro is used, takedown other competitors or causing urban havoc. much like the wanted level system in Grand Theft Auto - if the red "wanted" light flashes, it usually means that the players must do what it takes to avoid the police cars and police helicopter - otherwise they might be forced to pull over and lose their money.[citation needed]

The main urban area is home to many buildings, offices, department stores, restaurants, skyscrapers, a shopping mall where ramps are located, the in-game versions of the Tokyo Tower, the Tokyo Skytree, the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower are visible while the Namboku Line runs on elevated tracks across parts of the city.
