Stormy Chefs teaches children about FOOD. For many of our "City Kids", cooking is a foreign concept. Our experienced Chefs will help children narrow this gap and attain knowledge of - nutrition, cooking, hygiene and etiquette.
Through practical hands-on lessons and interactive discussion, children will experience first-hand on how food is transformed from simple ingredients to elaborate, delicious meals. They will also learn about nutritional food groups and how to eat sensibly to stay healthy. By experimenting with different recipes, children learn not only about the processes of food making but also the creativity in cooking culinary delights.
Our Mission is to:
- Get students truly excited about food
- Equip students with the very basic survival skill of cooking
- Provide a fresh, fun, hands-on way to learn about food and culture
Our Stormy Chefs curriculum is catered for mixed age learning. Given our meticulously-chosen, child-friendly recipes, students will be exposed to a wide variety of different foods. They will also improve their culinary skills by practicing different cooking techniques – mixing, whipping, chopping, folding, etc. All lessons are designed to incorporate concept learning as well as hands-on recipes, thereby nurturing both intellectual and practical skills simultaneously.
