On May 17, 2022, during Sadie Sink's appearance on GMA3, a clip from "The Hellfire Club" was shown with Ms. Kelly talking to Max. In the clip, Ms. Kelly asks Max about her mother, who had picked up a drinking habit, following Neil Hargrove abandoning the latter because of Billy's death. Thought Max says things are better without Neil, she explains to Ms. Kelly that her mom now is juggling two jobs, to which Ms. Kelly asks Max if she's still having nightmares or headaches and she says no.
Some things have not changed. There are four stories, which began with the fracture at the end of season 3, but they're separated by geography, which makes the divisions stricter than usual. There is an Eleven story, there is a Joyce-and-maybe-Hopper story, and there is a Mike/Will/Jonathan story, and all of those are located in different places outside the main part of Hawkins.
Netflix, however, has yet to reveal whether Stranger Things 4's popularity has had a significant impact on its subscriber numbers. In 2021, the company said it posted its best subscriber growth of the year during the third quarter, thanks in part to Squid Game. But in April this year, Netflix admitted that it lost about 200,000 subscribers in the first quarter of 2022 due to several issues, such as stiffer competition and account sharing. The company said back then that it's taking steps to turn things around, but we'll have to wait for its next earnings report to find out whether Eleven and the rest of the Hawkins crew were of any help.

According to Ross Duffer, fans should be worried for their favorite character heading into volume two. "I would be concerned about the characters going into Volume 2, for sure," he told Variety. "I hope that that is sort of the sense, because it is a darker season and the kids are no longer kids. So everybody is in danger. And there's sort of an ominous feeling that things might not go well. Now, whether they do or not, you'll have to watch." 041b061a72
